Account executive

Advertising account executive positions available for New England’s Premier Culture Magazine, a full color glossy covering the visual art, theater, performance, dance, film and more. You will work with passionate and dedicated colleagues to grow and maintain your account. The right candidate will be motivated, enthusiastic, and self-directed.

Artscope, New England’s Premier Culture Magazine, is a growing timely, multi-platform magazine that includes bimonthly print issues, biweekly eblasts, weekly online zine, mobile apps and tablet edition, reaching an audience of 100,000 readers in almost 700 locations and on mobile devices worldwide. Artscope works to inform and entertain our readers through high quality content and production, while increasing the awareness and access of enthusiasts and collectors to the active New England art and culture community, collectors and to the public audience.

Job requirements
Direct sales experience preferred. Flexible hours. Compensation: base plus commission.

Internship

Interested in pursuing a career in journalism, magazine design, writing, marketing and sales or publishing? Join us as an intern to explore local art scenes, create ad layouts, learn about the media business, and take part in all aspects of the magazine from creation to final production through organic entreprenurial approaches in a creative environment. Internship programs are designed to develop you for career paths and to apply for academic credit.

After completing internships, interns have continued to work at Artscope, have matriculated at top graduate school programs as well as have entered careers at design companies, galleries and museums. Many have received job acceptances at news publications such as The Huffington Post and The Buffalo News or at media properties such as Conde Nast and Vogue Italy based on training and recommendations from Artscope. Interns have also gone on to work with art publications such as Artsy and Art News.

Interns have also come from a diverse set of places, including Boston area colleges as well as universities or graduates in New York, Chicago, Italy, France and Germany.
